Thoughts of You!

Hello my crafty friends,
Today's image is from  Zap Pow.  I didn't know what I would use for a sentiment as I wasn't sure what to do with the octopi.  But I put my thinking cap on and thought, he's a nerd, ok then high school, then the nerd who likes the cheerleader. And then a ahhah moment. LOL.  I used Cricut Swirls embossing folder for the base card and Spectrum Noir markers to color the nerd octopi. I used the Silhouette print and cut for the blue octopi Silhouette file #59681  and the seaweed  Silhouette File #58447  and the sentiment was computer generated. The challenge is for wet or dry embossing over at Craftitude Challenges. Take a hop over to see what the talented DT has for your inspiration and join in the fun and a chance to win some digital files. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your kind comments. I enjoy reading them. Have a happy crafty day.

Happy Birthday Big Boy

Hello my crafty friends,
I'm running late in posting today. Here is my creation for the one layer challenge over at Artistic Inspirations. The image is from The Stamping Chef. I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut the tag and print the sentiment. I used Memento green ink around the edges and the button was from my stash.  Spectrum Noir markers are my choice of coloring images.  Blending is still a little tricky for me but as the saying goes "Practice, practice, practice" LOL. I'm pleased with the way her skin looks. I will be adding new posts on how I blend colors soon. So stay tuned and follow me along as we share this creative journey. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments. They inspire me to keep creating.  Have a happy crafty day.

Friend is retiring in Florida

Hello my crafty friends,
I just recently had a neighbor of mine moving down south to retire.  This beach chair image from Delicious Doodles was just perfect for this card.  I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color the chair and lotion bottle.  The sentiment and flags, and crab were printed and cut with the Silhouette Studio. I put them on pop dots for depth.  The umbrella and embellishments were also from Silhouette Store. Silhouette file# 43867 and file #9208 I used Cricut Embossing folder Swirls and sponged over with Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink.  The background for the sand was free clipart I found online. Hop on over to Pinspirational Challenges to see what the DT has for your summer inspiration and enter the challenge for a chance to win some digital images from our wonderful sponsor. Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments. I love hearing from you.

Birthday Box Card

Hello my crafty friends,
I have been having fun with box cards lately.  I just purchased a set over at SVG Cuts.  I like that they have video's demonstrating how to put them together. this card is for a guy so I used non traditional Carnival colors.  Of course I had to add some bling.  I used silver glitter paper from DCWV. The base navy paper and star button on ferris wheel was from my stash.  I printed the sentiment and cut the card with the Silhouette Cameo.  The Summer Fair Box card set comes with an svg envelop and extra embellishments.  SVG Cuts thought of everything for you to make your project. I'll let you know what the guy thought of the card in a couple of weeks.  Until then, thanks for leaving your comments, I love reading them.

The back piece is for a sentiment. I had to block it out just in case the person who is getting this card see's it here first. LOL

Engagement Party

Hello my crafty friends,
Today's challenge over at Craftitude Challenges is weddings and flowers. Well before you get married you get engaged right?  That is why I created this card.  The image is from Dilly Beans called Tulia's Heart. I had an idea of how I wanted to use the heart shape but it didn't work out that way.  The flowers ended up looking like a bouquet. That made me think of a bride, but the colors I was using and the theme made me think of bride's maid. I didn't know what kind of sentiment I could use and that is how I came up with the engagemnent party. I used Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder for the mat, which I printed and cut with the Silhouette Cameo.  I also used Spectrum Noir makers to color the image.  I added Stickles diamonds to the head bow.   Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your lovely comments. I enjoy reading them.  Have a happy crafty day.

LOL.  I used the Silhouette to cut the card and print the sentiment. Have I told you how much I love my Silhouette Cameo lately. The sand was clipart that I found online free.  Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments. Have a happy creative day.
