Back to School

Hello my crafty friends,
Kids go back to school this week.  I went to Walmart the other day and there were tons of kids with parents getting last minute things. Soon there will be school buses picking them up.  That was my inspiration for this step card today. The image is from Scrappers Delights the sponsor today for the challenge over at Pinspirational Challenges. Come join us and enter for a chance to win some awesome images and inspiration from our talented DT. The school bus and trees are from the Silhouette Store and the school house is from My Scrapchick. I used the Silhouette to print and cut the card. I used Spectrum Noir markers to color the image. Now that the kids are back in school it is time to get back to crafting. The holidays will be here before we know it. Follow me as I will be starting on those projects soon. Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments.  I love reading them.

A Challenge for another Design Team

Hello my crafty friends,
I am excited to annouce I have been invited to join the talented design team over at Suzy Blossoms.  Please stop by and see the wonderful creations the DT has for your inspiration. Another great reason to visit is Suzy will be giving away a FREE image every Sunday.   Join us for the challenge and a chance to win some awesome images from our sponsor Lacy Sunshine. This is my first card for the DT. The challenge is anything goes.  With a play on words Hula for Hello, I used my Silhouette Cameo to print and cut the sentiment and images.  I also used the Clouds embossing folder for the base card and used Spectrum Noir markers and color pencils (not spectrum pencils)  to color the image.  I put pop dots under the palm tree leaves, hula image and  white cloud to give it some depth. Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments. I love hearing from you. Have a happy crafty day.

Bear Hugs

Hello my crafty friends,
Today's card was a bit of a challenge for me.  I had this cute little bear image from Scribble and Scrap , but had no idea what I was going to do with him. It literally took me over a week to get my mojo working.  Luckily, it was working tonight. The theme of the challenge over at Pinspirational Challenges  is "You can do anything, but not Everything." Well I think a bear is cute but I wouldn't want to meet a wild one for a bear hug. LOL. I used my silhouette cameo to cut and print the card. I added the birthday sentiment I had in my stash. I used only 2 Spectrum Noir colors. GB1 and GB7 Head on over to Pinspirational for the challenge and a chance to win some great images from our sponsors.  Maybe you could come up with a project for the theme, and see what our talented DT has created for your inspiration. Thanks for taking the time to leave your comments. I look forward to seeing what you create for this challenge. Have a wonderful crafty day.

Memories of days gone by

Hello my crafty friends,
I'm really late at posting this for the challenge over at A Song in your He(art). It's due out today so I'm only a few hours late. LOL.  The image is from Sami Stamps. The theme is Best Day of my Life/memories.  How often as a child did you try to wait up for Santa or get presents from under the tree in the morning?  This swing card shows the night before and the tree and presents found in the morning.  I used Cuttlebug embossing folder swiss dots on the base of the card. And of course I used my Spectrum Noir markers. I used Tim Holz Tea Dye distress ink around the tree image, giving it a vintage look.  Head on over toA Song in your He(art)   and join us for the challenge and a chance to win some images. Thanks for visiting me today and leaving your comments. I love hearing from you.  Have a happy crafty day.

New Beginnings

Hello my crafty friends,
Today's challenge over at Artistic Inspirations is going back to school.  I call my card New Beginnings as with a new school year you meet new friends and reconnect with old friends.  The image of the school girls is from Eureka Stamps. I used Spectrum noir markers to color them.  The house and trees were printed and cut with the Silhouette Cameo.  The school house is an SVG file I purchased from My Scrap Chick. The tree's are from the Silhouette Store ID#39774. I love using my Silhouette Design Edition to fill in the shapes, like the tree trunk and leaves.   Be sure to stop by Artistic Inspirations to see what the wonderful design team has for your inspiration and join us by entering the challenge for a chance to win some awesome images from  our sponsors. Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments. I love hearing from you.  Have a happy crafty day.
