Zero Calories Wedding Cake

Hello my crafty friends,
If you have been following my blog you know I said I would have a Big 3D project. I have entered this as my project for the DT over at Decorate to Celebrate. Be sure to see what the talented team has for your 3D inspiration projects. In following up with the wedding theme of purple for my friends wedding. Here is a 3 tier cake box set.  I glued the boxes and pedestal together but she could still open each box lid. She used  the bottom box to insert her gift cards she received at the reception. You can view the name from both front (with purple flowers) and back of cake with silver flowers. Unfortunately, these pictures don't show the glitter paper very well. It looks beautiful in person. I used glitter paper for the base of the Mr. & Mrs. sign.

I purchased the cake file from SVG cuts. The flowers are cut files from the Silhouette store. In the picture below you can see I had to cover the outside layers. I used We R Memories roses embossing folder to cover the outside layer of the boxes.

Here is what the boxes and pedestal looked like earlier.

I used purple and silver glitter paper for the pedestal and trim around the boxes. The floral paper around the circles of the layers is from my stash. Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments. I love hearing from you. Have a happy crafty day.

Cute Witch bookmark

Hello my crafty friends,
Today's project is for the challenge over at Creative. Be sure to stop by and see what the talented DT has for your Halloween creative inspiration. The image is from Rick St Dennis. I used Spectrum Noir and Chameleon markers to color and the Silhouette Cameo to cut and print.  I used the Cuttlebug pumpkin embossing folder on the base and stamped the sentiment with a stamp from my stash that I purchased years ago from JoAnn Fabrics. Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments I look forward to reading them. Have a happy crafty day.

Wedding Glasses using vinyl.

Hello my crafty friends,
I am continuing my wedding projects and will be posting them at Decorate to Celebrate for challenges. Be sure to stop by and see what the talented DT has for your creative inspiration.  You can see at my previous post  for my first vinyl project a cutting board here. I used the same design for the glasses as I did for the favor boxes here.  The vinyl application for the names went on beautifully. I had a great idea to run the wedding dress through the embossing folder. It looked beautiful until I had to apply it to the glass. Duh, have to smooth it out on the glass surface. LOL.  The dress and tuxedo was challenging in applying to the rounded surface and removing wrinkles.  For the base of the glasses I used mod podge to apply seeded beads.  In the first picture the beads aren't quite dry yet. It took a day to dry between applications of the mod podge. I was thinking if I added enough mod podge layers it would make a smoother surface.  But with lack of time I didn't have the opportunity to test that theory. I was happy that it did dry clear and it did give the base some texture. I think I will use glitter next time. Follow me and see my next big 3D project I made for the wedding gift table. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments I love hearing from you.

Everyone deserves a Lifetime

Hello my crafty friends,
Todays project is for the challenge over at DT Cookie. Be sure to stop by and see what the talented DT has for your creative inspiration and enter for a chance to win some digital images.  October is breast cancer awareness month. Did you get your mammogram yet. The latest recommended ages start at 40 years of age once a year. After 55 years of age get exam every 2 years.  Of course if there is a history of breast cancer start early as of age 20.  Best of all do self breast exams often.  For today's project the image and sentiment is from A Day for Daisies. I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut the butterfly and Spectrum Noir markers to color it.  I also used Memory Keepers butterfly embossing folder on the base of the card. Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments. I look forward to hearing from you. Have a happy crafty day.

My first vinyl project.

Hello my crafty friends,
Todays' project is two fold. My friends are getting married and I wanted to make something special. This is my first project using vinyl. It is Oracle 652 vinyl. I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut the design and I did use the mat. I was pleased with my results. I also made some vinyl designs the same design as the Wedding favor boxes on glasses. Follow me as I will be posting them soon. The second part is this is for the challenge over at Decorate to Celebrate. Be sure to stop by and see what the talented DT has for your inspiration. Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments. I look forward to hearing from you. Have a happy crafty day.

Batty for Halloween

Hello my crafty friends,
Here is my card for the challenge over at Artistic. The image is from Rick St Dennis I used Cuttlebug haunted house embossing folder on the base card. I add use Chameleon yellow marker on the moon but it didn't show up well on the black paper. I then added some Stickles Diamonds to it and that brought out the gold sparkle. I also used Spectrum Noir florescent yellow for her eyes and Stickle Diamonds for her wings. Be sure to stop by and see what the talented DT has for your Halloween inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments. I love hearing from you. Have a happy crafty day.

Welcome Fall weather.

Hello my crafty friends,
I'm running late posting today. Seems my mojo has run off and left me behind. LOL.  This project is totally digital today. It is for the challenge over at Pins. Be sure to stop by and see what the talented DT has for your fall inspiration and enter the challenge for a chance to win some digital images.  The sentiment and image is from DeeDee Digi's .  Living in the south with it's 88-90 degrees makes it hard to think the fall season has started.  I like the way this card looks with the fall colors. Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments. I love hearing from you. Stay tuned as hopefully my mojo will come back I have plans for another 3D project coming soon. Have a happy crafty day.

Fall is coming

Hello my crafty friends,
Today's card is for the challenge over at Give a crafter a cookie. Be sure to stop by for more fall inspiration by our talented DT. The children images are from Stitchy Bear Stamps. I used the Silhouette Cameo to print and cut them as well as the leaves on the bottom to add more dimension. The sentiment is a stamp from a Stampedious set in my stash. I used the tree embossing folder by Darice and colored it with my Chameleon markers. When you open the card the debossed side of the tree is also colored because the markers bleed through the paper. It was a pleasant surprise effect and I may do that again "on purpose" for another project.  Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments. Follow me along as I will be attempting a foiling project soon.

Back to school IPad

Hello my crafty friends,
Here is another lunchbox note card for the tech. kid with the Ipad. I remember when we had to lug around what seemed like a 50 pounds of books to class... Now it's an Ipad or laptop. And they have the new wrist watch too. Do any of you remember the Dick Tracy comics when he had the wrist watch.  LOL here I go dating myself. This is for the challenge over at Creative Moments. Be sure to stop by and join the challenge for a chance to win some digital images.  The talented DT will have projects to inspire your creativity.  For the background of this project I used Scrapbook Max program. This is my favorite program for creating digital backgrounds. The girl image is from our sponsor All Dressed Up. I had to add some bling to the girls hair bow.  Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments. I love hearing from you. Have a happy crafty day.

3D Picture Frame

Hello my crafty friends,
Today's project if for the challenges over at Pins and DTC. The image is from Lil Blue Stamps. I was pleased with the way the frame has a 3D layered effect and it does have a stand you attach to the back that will hold it up. The frame pattern is from My Scrap Chick. I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut the card and print the image. I used Studio G blue ink to edge the frames and then used a dauber to cover the front. The stand on the back will lie flat for mailing. I colored the image with Chameleon markers. Stop by and join in the challenge for a chance to win digital images. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments. I love hearing from you. Have a happy crafty day.

I made for my friend's wedding.   I used the cuttlebug swirl embossing folder on the bride and groom favor boxes see video here. and on the envelop flaps of the invitations and RSVP reply envelopes. I used a small heart punch on glitter purple paper for the invitation and inner envelop of the RSVP card. Fluttering by to say Hi.

Hello my crafty friends,
Working on keeping up with my challenges. For today's challenge over at Give a crafter a cookie. I used my new We R Memories butterfly embossing folder. I have both the Big Shot and the Cuttlebug.  I couldn't get the folder to work right with my Cuttlebug. It is a large embossing folder.  The Big Shot did a good job and it was a bit tight with folded cardstock. It makes a crisp line and as you may be able to see some white on the blue butterflies on the background.  The image today is from our sponsor All Dressed Up.  I used both my Spectrum Noir markers and Chameleon markers. I also used some new Ice Stickles by Ranger for the wings and skirt bottom for some bling. Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments. I love hearing from you. If you have not already seen my videos for the wedding favor boxes, you can find them Here. Please subscribe to my channel I will be making more video's through the year.   You can also follow me here for the next 3D wedding project I have on my to do list. My First Video Bride and Groom Favor boxes.

Hello my crafty friends,
I've made my first video this year.  It was my New Year's resolution that I was going to do it this year. I even bought a tripod for my camera, which took sometime to get the right angle. Yes, I still need practice. LOL.  I hope to get better with the next video.  My friend is getting married in late October. I offered to make the invitations and favor boxes. This was the first pair I made. Here is the final look. The pattern is from the Silhouette store SD#80196.  She just gave me the go ahead for the time and place. It's going to be a dinner cruise. Now I have all these idea's of something else for the invitations, but too late to change them now. I'll be posting the invitation soon and doing another video for the tuxedo box.  Be sure to follow me here and join me on this creative journey as I share what I learn and more video's to come.

Tri Fold Card

Hello my crafty friends,
I am busy catching up on my challenges. Here is a tri fold card I made for the challenge over at Creative Moments.
The theme is fancy folds. Be sure to stop by and see what the talented DT has for your inspiration today and see the cute images from our sponsor ArtbyMirian. I used the Chameleon markers to color and printed and cut with the Silhouette Cameo. I used a new Cuttlebug embossing folder called Oxford. It embosses a deep design giving the paper a nice texture. I bought it because I could see using it to emboss basket images, but it make a nice background for this card. I also used the Cuttlebug wood embossing folder for the fence and base of the card.  Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your comments I look forward to reading them.
